GHENT, 5 September 2024 – On Monday 2 September PIA Group Belgium welcomed Didier Dhaenens as its new Chief Information Officer (CIO). Belgium’s fastest-growing accountancy and advisory group is bolstered by the addition of this hands-on IT specialist.
In his role as Chief Information Officer (CIO), Didier’s primary mission is to unburden all PIA branches in Flanders, Brussels and Wallonia on an IT level. “Contributing to new IT developments within PIA Group is one of my responsibilities because it is important to keep abreast of technological innovations”, Didier explains.
A track record of 25 years of expertise
With a quarter century of IT experience in various industries, Didier Dhaenens has built considerable expertise. After graduating in 1999 as a Civil Engineer in Computer Science, Didier was hired by IBM. He subsequently worked for Cisco, The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and UCB in such roles as Senior IT Manager and IT Director. Over the past 4 years Didier was CIO at mateco.
